Run, Run As Fast As You Can...

You'll probably be able to catch me because I have nothing on the Gingerbread Man. I'm just saying, I'm soooooooo NOT a runner. Between my old foot problems, and my new foot problems, my bipolar motivations to exercise, and just plain dreading running all together...how can I ever expect myself to complete a 5K?

Ive committed myself to running a race with  my friend/coworker...and am now wondering how I'm going to work up the gusto to do this.  I know I can...but how do I train so I'm not totally dead within the first .5 miles?

Here's my plan:

                        1. Going to follow the Couch to 5K program on my own.
                        2. Going to clean up my eating, drink more H20, and loose a couple of lb's.
                        3. Going to train with another friend who's running a 10K ( show off...lol)

and hopefully, hopefully...Ill make it through.  Of course I say this after Ive eaten a full breakfast (whomp whomp #1).  Hey, one day at a time people...one day at a time.

The race is in March, any advise for a novice runner?
